At Sydney Diesel Centre, diesel fuel injection testing is carried out in our dedicated pump rooms.
This is where diesel pumps and injectors are tested, diagnosed, calibrated and repaired off the engine, using specialist test benches like Hartridge that allow components to be measured accurately under controlled conditions.
Fuel injection testing is a precision process. Components are assessed under controlled conditions to determine whether their performance falls within acceptable operating limits. As authorised Denso Premium Dealer and Bosch Diesel Centre we test to OEM specifications.

What We Mean by Diesel Fuel Injection Testing
On-vehicle diagnostics can point to a fuel system issue, but they can’t measure how a pump or injector is actually performing internally.
In the pump room, components are tested under controlled pressure, speed and load conditions that replicate real engine operation. This allows us to see how a pump or injector behaves across its full operating range – something that simply can’t be done on an engine.
We carry out diesel injector testing on a wide range of systems (including petrol inejctors), including common rail, mechanical and electronically controlled injectors.
Injector testing typically checks:
Where injectors are repaired, they are calibrated to OEM specifications before being returned to service. Correct calibration is critical to combustion quality, engine balance and long-term reliability.

Diesel Pump Testing, Diagnosis & Repair
Diesel pumps are tested on dedicated benches to assess:
Pump testing allows underlying fuel system issues to be identified accurately, rather than relying on symptoms alone. This is especially important where repeat faults or ongoing drivability issues are present.
We regularly test and service a wide range of diesel fuel injection pumps, including common rail, distributor and in-line pumps used across passenger, commercial, heavy-duty, marine and industrial applications.
These are the most frequently tested pumps on modern diesel systems:
Common applications include Toyota, Isuzu, Ford, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, and various commercial and industrial engines.
Still very common across older vehicles, industrial engines and agricultural equipment:
These pumps are widely used on earlier Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi and light commercial diesel platforms.
Typically found in heavy-duty, industrial and older mechanical applications:
Common in trucks, plant equipment, generators and stationary engines.
Often seen in power generation, mining, construction and stationary engines:
Used across industrial, marine and power generation applications.

These are the most frequently tested injectors on modern diesel systems:
Commonly found in Toyota, Isuzu, Ford, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Volkswagen and a wide range of commercial and industrial engines.
Still widely tested for older vehicles, plant, agricultural and industrial engines:
These injectors rely on precise opening pressure and spray pattern performance and require proper bench testing to assess wear and set-up.
Used across heavy-duty and commercial diesel applications:
Found in trucks, buses, construction equipment and industrial engines where injection pressure is generated within the injector itself.
Typically used in stationary engines, power generation and heavy equipment:
These injectors are tested under higher flow and pressure conditions to confirm delivery balance and operating behaviour.
Our advanced test bench allows GDI and PFI injectors to be tested accurately under controlled conditions.

Systems and Applications We Support
Our fuel injection pump room supports a wide range of diesel fuel injection systems, including passenger vehicles, light commercial vehicles, heavy-duty and industrial engines, as well as fleet and trade applications.
We test and repair diesel pumps and injectors of all sizes and capabilities, from modern high-pressure common rail systems through to older mechanical fuel injection designs. Fuel injection components can continue to operate while performing outside acceptable operating limits, often leading to hard starting, poor performance, increased fuel consumption or repeat fault codes, even when parts appear functional.
Accurate off-engine fuel injection testing identifies these issues under controlled conditions, supporting correct, repeatable repairs and reducing trial-and-error replacement.
Our diesel fuel injection testing services support mechanical workshops, fleet operators, trade and industrial customers, as well as internal workshop repairs. Fuel injection testing is a specialist process requiring dedicated test equipment, trained technicians and manufacturer-approved procedures, and is carried out independently of general vehicle servicing and mechanical repair work.
We are an authorised dealer for Isuzu Power Solution, Yanmar, Kohler Engine and Kubota.
