The Diesel Trend
Diesel fuel is the fastest growing segment of the refined products market. Ultra-clean diesel fuel with advanced diesel technology offers one of the most cost-effective solutions for the developed world to lower toxic emissions, lower greenhouse emissions, greater efficiency of energy use for transport fuels and technologies.
Over 40% of new passenger cars in Europe now have diesel engines compared to less than 20% a decade ago. Initially, fuel tax and vehicle sales tax policies drove diesel uptake in Europe, although it is likely that consumer preference for power and comfort is now a significant factor. In France, Austria and Belgium, well over 60% of new passenger cars, and over 80% of luxury cars, are diesels.
Under the bonnet of any modern vehicle a large extent of technology is being used to improve performance whilst putting less stress on the environment through reduced fuel consumption and exhaust pollution.
Today it requires an expert with approved knowledge and skills to service this level of sophisticated automotive technology.
